Day six
Hi everyone! How was your weekend?
I found something rather interesting. I got down onto the floor of the shower with my old toothbrush and discovered ridges and ledges that aren’t able to be scrubbed with a cloth. The toothbrush scrubbed off lots of yucky black mould and other hideous things which I dread to think about! That crud was all underneath where you can’t see. It’s amazing how much grot can be hidden from a birds eye view!
It’s Day 6 of a two week cycle. How is everyone going with it so far? I hope you are finding it easy to follow.
This week is: PET WEEK
We are going to be focusing on the feathered/furred/finned companions that make our lives just that bit more interesting. If you don’t have any pets you get the week off!!
Home is where the heart is: Clean out the home where your pet dwells.
Eg: dog – hose the kennel out (on grass to get use out of the water), wash it’s bedding
Fish: clean algae from the fish tank, fish filter, replace plants if need to.
Birds – cages etc etc
You get the drift.
Today’s focus room is The Garden.
I know we have just completed a week in the garden, but there is always something that needs doing. So get out in the sunshine and fresh air and spend ½ hour working away.
Jobs that can be done in the garden:
Weeding
Mowing
Edging
Spraying weeds in footpaths
Pulling out dead plants
Planting
Fertilising
Mulching
Pruning (check first that it’s the right time of year for it)
Dead-heading (removing dead flowers)
Raking
Spreading compost
OBSCURE JOB: It’s the end of the season. It’s time to throw out everyone’s toothbrushes and get some more. Dental professionals believe it’s wise to replace your toothbrush once a season. The bristles become less and less effective, making your tooth cleaning less effective. Not to mention the germs that breed on old manky toothbrushes! Blurrgh!!
