Hey there!!
It’s that time of year again. Blossoms are starting to bloom, the bulbs are flowering and looking bright and cheery. Trees that have lost their leaves are beginning to bud, ready for fresh growth. It won’t be long and the jacaranda will be flowering and the air will be sweet with the fresh smells of spring!
For the next three weeks we will be focusing on spring cleaning. This will be a pretty big time task-wise, but it will be well worth it! There won’t be any obscure jobs – or focus rooms, we will just focus on the tasks set.
During this time you will need to set your daily tasks as usual, then add these tasks on top of them. These next few days will be hard work and you may find yourself working longer – but think of the end result. A sparkling clean house –and you will have less to do in your focus rooms when we resume. This is a good opportunity to also have catch up on areas that you may have fallen behind in before the craziness of Christmas preparations kick in.
Today’s tasks:
1. Clean your windows inside and out.
a. Remove screens and scrub with a soft brush and warm soapy water. Allow to dry before replacing.
b. Get a squeedgee with a brush on it and dip in warm soapy water and scrub the outside of your windows, then use the wiper side to wipe all the water off.
c. Spray the window with part metholatyed spirits and water and wipe off immediately with a clean cloth or paper towel. This will remove any smears or smudgies
d. Use the metho spray on the inside of the windows.
e. Dust the window sills
f. Vacuum the dust out the runners
g. Run the vacuum cleaner with the upholstery attatchment up and down the curtains to remove dust, or if they need it, take them down and wash them.
2. Clean your skirting boards
