Day 6
Hello everyone! How was your weekend?
Ours was a bit yuck. My son split his head open when he was climbing a bookshelf and it fell on him. We had to take him to the surgery to get stitches. What a harrowing experience THAT was. Ever tried to pin down an almost 3 year old boy to get his head sewn up? Took three of us!
I can’t believe we are in the last week of November already! One more week of Spring left. It’s my 8 year wedding anniversary too. Christmas is just around the corner and 2009 will be upon us before we know it! Lots to do!
This week is Gardening Week. We will be focusing on doing jobs that need doing in your garden. Instead of the regular tasks I usually set, I am going to get you to take a good look around your garden and look for jobs that need doing, that may not get a mention on the daily task lists or this particular weekly special. Everyday spend half an hour in your garden doing jobs that really need doing.
Today’s focus room is the garden.
This is going to be a good opportunity to get a big job or two done today, since it’s Gardening Week. So go on and get yourself out in the sunshine and fresh air and spend ½ hour working away.
Jobs that can be done in the garden:
Weeding
Mowing
Edging
Spraying weeds in footpaths
Pulling out dead plants
Planting
Fertilising
Mulching
Pruning (check first that it’s the right time of year for it)
Dead-heading (removing dead flowers)
Raking
Spreading compost
OBSCURE JOB: None for this week, spend the extra time outside getting your garden up to scratch. In a few weeks, it will be too hot to do anything out there!
