CARPET CLEANING
Did you know that you can use wool wash in place of carpet shampoo? You sure can!! I buy a 1 litre bottle of lavender scented wool wash and clean my carpets with that. It’s important that you clean AND do a rinse (run the cleaner over with shampoo and water, then water with a little vinegar) otherwise you leave a residue, which can make your carpets get dirtier faster.
I have found this to be a cheaper alternative to carpet shampoo.

You can also spot clean with wool mix. Add a dash of it to a bowl of water. Dip a cloth in the bowl and then rub the stain untill it dissapears. Then in another bowl add 1/4 vinegar and 3/4 warm water, and pour a little over the stained area. Enough to wet it completely, but not flood the carpet! Place and old towel over the stained spot and stand on it to absorb excess water. Then rub the carpet untill it’s just damp. Try and not walk on the carpet untill it’s completely dry.

CARPET SPOT CLEANING submitted by Chelsea
Instead of using spray on products that cost alot of money…
Mix into 1 litre of cold water 1tbs of dishwashing liquid and 3tbs of vinegar. Put it on the spot that needs cleaning (make it fairly wet) leave it for a couple of seconds then I scrub it a little and just soak the liquid out with a towel.

SKIPPER SAYS: I just tested this method out and it works really well!! And it’s so cheap!! It barely cost me anything, and I will have nice clean carpets! Thanks Chelsea for submitting this great tip!
